About the event
* THIS IS AN OPEN HOUSE STYLE EVENT - COME WHEN YOU CAN - LEAVE WHEN YOU NEED TO
Celebrate Earth Day through education and conservation at the Orono Nature Center. This year's theme is "Protect Our Species."
During this event you will rotate through stations that will focus on environmental education as well as conservation (clean-up) activities.
Unite For Earth Day includes multiple youth organizations in the Westonka/Orono communities. Friends and families are invited to attend.
ALL Girl Scouts will earn the River Valleys Earth Day 2019 patch. (You will need to take a picture at the event and submit it through the council website. Leaders/parents will be responsible for this.)
DAISIES - You're invited to earn your Clover (use resources wisely) and Rosie (make the world a better place) petals at 4:30.
*** Please bring work gloves, a filled reusable water bottle, and snack for yourself, plus permission slip (or parent or leader) with you. Please wear or bring closed-toed shoes or boots. The grounds may be mushy and some of the cleanup locations are near the water's edge. Dress appropriate for the weather and plan to get dirty.
*** Adults, if you would like to bring any tools to use or share, feel free to bring them. Please mark them with your name (on tape or on the items).
For Questions or to Volunteer to help with the event or donate anything, please contact Mellissa Stanfa-Brew at brewscoutkids@gmail.com.
